Can someone share the recent H1B premium processing process experience. I am currently waiting for my H1B approval and plan to talk to the recruiter about initiating premium processing process so as BAL (attorney) is ready to file the docs if the ban is lifted on Feb 19. Has anyone asked Google for premium processing recently? Who needs to approve? What's the best way to go forward. (L4 , app engineer, NYC, 10 YOE, TC 240)
my attorney said she would do that, she doesn't need approval, that's google standard procedure. that been said, you should check with your attorney first. btw, now as Feb 19 approaching, are we more certain the freeze will be gone?
Same no authorization, default
Is this h1b transfer? If yes, they do premium processing by default, if available. In fact, Google does premium processing in all processes when available (e.g. GC processing)
Yes. This is H1B transfer.
@yogi bear - your guess is as good as mine about whether premium processing ban would be lifted. Smart bet would be that the ban would be lifted, as it's costing USCIS easy 1250$. But I have don't have much hopes from this administration to be smart. The justification for banning premium processing was that USCIS wanted to deal with backlog. The backlog has only increase since the ban came into effect.. so they might very well extended it. Fingers crossed
The premium cost is now increased to 1400 something I thought.
Just googled. Yes.. increased to 1410 from Oct 1, 2018. Thanks!
Go join Google. Don't waste this opportunity coz of stpid immigration crap. Mine got approved in a month. Good luck
Thanks blinders. Attorney said will file premium when it becomes available. No need for any approvals.
I think they should have incentives to do that so just ask.
