Google & Facebook re-interview

I got a call from Google recruiter and set a telephonic interview next month. I had my onsite interview during February, 2019 and recruiter said my last interview feedback was very close and she said I would mostly make it this time, if I continue my preparation. I have a telephonic round with Facebook as well in the next week, after being rejected during August 2018. Had interviews from Amazon, Adobe, Rubrik, Goldman Sachs in the previous month, got rejected in the final rounds(all of them-final round), with feedback that I was a good at DS, Algo and communication. I do believe, I got rejected in each of them for a valid reason, but a different one (nervousness, couldn't frame my answer well etc.,) While I plan on improving those gaps for Google SWE role - January 2020 and Facebook 2020 , I want to try at different companies which recruit based on coding skills and Computer Science knowledge. I'm a fresher- a recent CS grad 2019 and I don't want to risk just preparing this entire time for these companies only. If anyone is willing to give me a referral, that would be amazing! Thanks in advance :)

What is the risk in preparing?

I will definitely prepare, but don't want to just prepare. I would miss gaining experience during this time. And if I don't make it, it will be a gap on my profile to try again from that point. So, I want to keep trying for more companies!

Why don’t you apply at Apple?

I have applied at Apple, but my resume didn't get shortlisted I guess and I'm not sure if Apple recruits freshers off-campus. That's why I think, referral would be a better chance.

Try Pramp.com, it helped with my nerves and speaking skills.

Isn't the cooldown 1 yr? How can they interview you after onsite that was 5 months ago?

Minimum being 6 months, that's why I've my next interview setup in the upcoming month. And was told, I was very close to being selected. I guess that's why.

Is the phone coding interview a video call or via landline/cellphone while you use Google docs?
