Google Background Check - Indian University Verification
All of my Hireright background checks are complete, except my Indian University Verification. Its taking forever. Has anyone been through this before? How long did yours take? Anything I can do to speed up the process?
Nothing you can do to speed it up. It'll take as long as it takes.
It also has virtually no bearing on employment - nobody looks at the reports
if you have your diploma ask if you can share as proof, or transcripts? sometimes if you contact your uni you can download or print.
OP is your background check over? How much time did it take for the university verification for you? My background check is going on now, and the only pending task is Indian university verification :| I have submitted mark sheet, degree certificate and whatever they have asked for, but lil worried due to coronavirus slowdown
In similar situation, waiting for a week (after hire right case system says complete). Though hire right report says "unable to verify" for school and says "pending - security review" for education. The report is complete and submitted to employer. HR contact says waiting for 3rd party to complete its verification. Wondering if hire right does any thing after their status says "Complete" and submitted to employer. Would MS ask another third party for verification or its just some one in HR making that call.
If any one's interested, my background check is completed now. Took Roughly 3 weeks in total. Initial verification was completed in 7 ish working days.The university verification took longer, I suspect hire right might not have even been able to contact them at all since their report says so and eventually MS HR just approved it after a week or so delay and persistent follow ups.
Same my friend stuck in university verification in India.. Hireright report says pending. He gave university contact no and email..how long this is going to take?
All I can say is don't worry. Some body at the employer has to approve if HireRight says couldn't verify and that happens for a large number of degrees obtained in different parts of the world. Often it ends up taking a few weeks. Just be patient and I assume you did provide a copy of transcript / degree
