Google Canada office
I’m not selected in H-1B lottery and will run out of OPT soon, thinking about moving to Canada. Does Google have a Canada office? Are they hiring engineers? Is interview bar same as US? TC 250K
So a person with degree and capability to get 250k offer has to leave? And people say immigration system is not broken...

MS and Bachelors from top CS school in US. Planning on leaving to Canada because of H-1B. Still on OPT. This immigration system is never going to change. How easy is it to move to Amazon Canada? TC: 265k. Currently in Amazon Bay Area.
OP why can’t you transfer to Facebook London or Singapore ?
Singapore isn’t an option, only London or Vancouver, VAN is a remote office. FB will sponsor these moves but I want backup plans, I don’t want to get PIPed when I’m oversea.

There are offices in Toronto, Montreal and Waterloo. Waterloo office is super nice.
So only Waterloo/Kitchener is the eng office? That sounds a boring place to live though.
There were engineers in Montreal and Toronto as well, but Waterloo was definitely the biggest. Kitchener did seem like a dead town. Could probably live in Toronto and take the train or something.
