#ae #enterprise #sales I am looking at different options for sales routes. I am currently at Better mortgage and looking to move to a broker shop. As a top performer, I will probably make $250K - $300K in my first year with $15/hr. Is it hard to transition into a Sales role in Google cloud services and what does pay look like usually?
Sorry just to clarify, I would make $15/hr plus commission. Total comp would be like $250k-350k as a top performer
You can try coming in on the SMB or Corporate side, still they will look for some tech sales background
Do you know anything about cloud services?
I do not… do you have any suggestions or companies of where I should start
It’s a steep learning curve, unfortunately not an entry level tech role. https://medium.com/javarevisited/10-free-courses-to-learn-cloud-computing-for-beginners-4f3cd984ddb1
Better today with "SPOC" is much different than it was a year ago and earlier... I would suggest figuring out the industry you want to work in (mortgage broker vs B2B tech sales isn't similar). So maybe you want B2B but in telecom, or commercial real estate, or maybe you want to work in tech (PaaS, SaaS, DaaS, cloud-solutions, etc..). Or perhaps you want to do D2C? People just don't wing it though and get jobs at GCP, Amazon, Microsoft, SFDC, Oracle, and the list goes on... your clients (even as a SMB/Growth AE) would be c-level execs and you need to be deliberate in your career path. - former Better employee; OTE: $240k; SaaS
How did you break into SaaS?
You probably won’t make $250-300K as an AE at Qualia. That said, we are a real estate saas company and for someone selling loans, you can lean on industry experience. Message me if you want to learn more
