How is Google’s core ML org? Currently in the team match stage, and will be talking to a few teams in the core ml org. This org is building ML models/library/frameworks for other Google product(Ads, Youtube, Search) and public usage, if I understand correctly. Any insights around this org? culture, growth, scope, job security, etc. It’s a new org and new initiative according to the recruiter, and my position is swe-ml Thanks! #google #machinelearningengineer
Pretty good. It's fairly new, and hasn't yet done anything stupid haha.
Whats the interview process like? Is the LC super hard
medium level DP
This is low level system infra team. Did you apply through an MLE loop? Like, did you have ML design in your interviews?
yes mle and I had ml part in the loop
MLIS?
Did you end up joining the org ?
nope
Any reason?
@shbhub could you share why you decided to not join?
Gosh - don’t join this group. I did the MLE Rounds and thought I’ll do ML. Tensor-flow is compiler infra now MLE. Run in the other direction.
The whole group focuses on compiler infra?
Mostly yep.
