Who are these retards asking for dictatorship in India?
Just sharing my experience, so others can set their expectations accordingly... Jan 2021: phone interviews Mid Feb 2021: Onsite interview End of Feb: Recruiter shared that feedback is strong but wants to team match before HC Mar: 2 team matches. One hot match but gets filled internally. Second is no match. Mid April: No new team matches, so recruiter takes case to HC before more team matches. HC rejects. Learning: It isn't done unless you have an offer at hand. I let a few non-Google opportunities pass because I thought it was just a matter of patience / time for a team match. I thought that, eventually, HC would make an offer - they may down-level or low-ball perhaps, but there will be an offer. Not true, as I experienced. UPDATED: Anyone else experience an HC REJECT? Can you share your journey through the interview process? Did you feel the recruiter did his/her best?
How's Instacart?
Sorry about this. But I don't think HC would reject on strong feedback. Also, I have heard that recruiters go for team match before HC when the feedback is not strong so that they could get more data points in support of candidate.
It used to be that way but they changed their process to doing team matches before HC for everyone about 2 years ago.
Not true I joined google a year back and went to hc first
Why looking for outside opportunities? Curious because instacart is about to ipo.
Left Instacart long time ago. Using an old blind account.
sorry to hear that. are you SWE?
No sleep for me tonight, after this post. I'm borderline L5 and having my review by HC tomorrow. Scary.
Did you get the result?
How did it turn out? I’m waiting for tomorrow to find out for myself...
Ohh..! All the best to both of @StoBene and @gennaro 👍 I have given my Interviews for a PM role in Google India. Awaiting Interviewer feedback based on which recruiter will prepare the packet for HC review. Please wish me also a good luck 🙏
Good luck mate 🙏 Let us know the result.
Thanks dude. BTW, one quick question: How did you know that you were on boarder line for L5? Did recruiter share the feedback scores of 5 Interviews? Just want to understand when can we consider ourselves as boarder line? Were there any LeaningToNoHire or LeaningToHire rating(s) in any of the round.
In what case can HC reject a hire ? In my case , it’s non SWE role ... I interviewed for a team so this role is for a specific team ! Last update from recruiter was that my package will be presented to HC for review and they will decide ! Recruiter did not give me any feedback .... My question is -1. If the feedback is not good from the interviewers , still the package goes to HC for review ? 2. As I don’t need team match, any scenarios that HC would reject my candidacy?
Any update v
I had a hiring committee submission, never went to team match and got reject. Redid on-site this year, went to HC, got kicked back for one more review, then told I cleared HC a day later. Working on team match now, but also trying to close competeting offers and then force a resolution/offer that I can negotiate from. I’ve spoken to people who have had every combination of order of things (team match, multiple onsites, hiring committee instant approval, more stats requests, and not even making HC). I’m sure internal hiring team has actual stats on candidates but no way your going to find out what is “typical” just from blind reviews.
So HC asked you to take additional interview?
