Have been searching posts from blind and quora. However, can not really find a lot of information about google hiring committee for Non-Tech roles. Was wondering what is the difference between Non-Tech HC and Eng HC. Seems Eng HC is very picky. Also would like to know what should I submit as an internal reference. Does it have a lot of impact. I do not have any ex colleagues who joined Google. So might need to submit classmates or friends. And is internal reference a standard input for the HC process?

They’ve kinda reduced/removed HC as a significant step for many non-eng client-facing roles in cloud. TK has done this. Basically, if all your interview results are strong, HC isn’t going to reject you, it’ll be more a matter of the compensation committee and VP agreeing on your level and comp.

Not a direct answer to your question, but just wanted to comment as someone in a similar process. I've gone through interviews for a non-tech role in gTech in MTV, but was told that no candidate can be submitted to HC right now. The recruiter said they rejected all the other candidates, but wanted to put me on hold until the process can be resumed. I was told that the hold may last until July. Wishing you a good luck!
