Google L3 -> L4
I recently got full time offer from Google as L3. Base: 140k RSU: 340k Sign on: 40k I know this is pretty good offer for L3, however I have 3 yoe and Master’s degree. I really wanted L4, but the recruiter did not want to negotiate level and I just decided to accept. 1) Will I regret accepting the offer at L3? 2) How quick can I get promoted? 3) What do I need to do in order to get promoted? Edit: - ICT3 at Apple - I had unrealistically high offer from a pre-IPO start up
I heard 135k is the max base for T3. They don't usually budge on that and throw more stocks. How did you manage this?
Unrealistically high TC from a start up. The TC I got from Google is significantly less than that from the start up, but I decided to go to Google for the name value and the opportunity
Still they usually increase stocks to bump up TC, not base. Interesting....

Base is in the L4 territory. Well done op, you won’t regret it. With your yoe promo to L4 in 1-1.5 years is not unreasonable if you have a good project/manager. Downside is that until then you probably won’t get any increases in base regardless of your performance.
One of my friend got 140 base for L3 as well but stocks were almost half compared to OP.
