Got a L3 offer from google. the exact team is not determined yet. The job seems okay, but just okay. Backend is mostly written in Java, which is a con for me. Also, I am not sure how good the WLB is. I don't want one that is too good. I have seen people who are not THAT good joining google and 1 of my interviewer was really disappointing in terms of communication and discussion (1 of them is REALLY good). I am quite happy with my current team and pay. Just conflicted, not sure if I need this google brand on my resume. Got luck and got picked for interview this time around. Not sure if it will happen again. #google
What is the offer?
🥱
What do you mean your interviewer was disappointing? Is that your performance was bad?
I did a good job but he didn't. When I ask him about his experience, what he does, he was not able to reply with a cohesive and logical answer
"I dont want WLB that is too good" Bro just join amazon.
He is in Splunk, they have holiday shutdowns for every birthday.
What are the other options? yoe/TC?
pls pass OP. apparently you are too good for Google.
Stay at Splunk and do graphs 😏
Depends on offer. If Google pays more - go there, if not - stay at Splunk. It's pretty chill in G, don't worry. You can ask recruiter to find you Go or C++ team if you dislike Java so much (Java is quite okay here).
Thanks
You asked a question without providing offer TC. Think about that for a second
