Google L5 offer
After all the negotiations , just signed the following L5 offer. Base : 225 Bonus: standard 15% Signon: 60k GSUs: 450k Location: bay area I really think I should have pushed a bit more on the stock. But my competing offer at square(other were LinkedIn and a couple of startups). was on the same lines as above. The stock was like 480 or something. I signed because I dint have any better leverage to negotiate Does look like the 75th percentile mark looking at levels.fyi. but wanted to get some opinions on the above offer. Base is very strong but stock is low. But without competing offers, nothing you can really do, so be content that you got the best deal you could in your situation.
Roblox base for L5 is 250k atleast. Twilio also gives more base that this.
It’s very strong for google L5. Similarly meta doesn’t give 250k for E5, nor snowflake, and others.

Lol no. Base is 50-80k higher than an L4 offer. And L4 stock is ~300 at most usually.

Dont ask. U r going to accept no doubt about it. Google is taking advantage of hiring low tier talent so that they pay less. Classic sign of company is no longer tier 1

I got atlassian stock at 60 and ppl beofre me got at 30. Do ur math. Also i never said atlassian is tier 1. But google is fastly becoming or become already tier 2. Dont take personally. Dont accept the offer. Prepare well and go for coinbase, roblox, meta who can easily pay more. Go for stripe. Just tell them u have google offer and share numbers they will immediately say that they will beat this package easily. If they dont say i am ready to bet anything on that
