Just completed my virtual onsite for Google L5 and this is how it went-
Round 1 - Coding
Could come up with logic for initial question and explained it(not asked to code by interviewer). For follow up, could come up with logic with hints from interviewer.
When asked to code by interviewer, could complete 70% of logic. Interviewer gave extra time and with hints could code 90%.
Round 2 - Coding
Was able to code the initial problem and follow up with dry run, complexities etc.
Round 3 - Googleyness
Pretty standard behavioral interview. Went well according to me
Round 4 - Coding
Was able to code the problem with dry run, edge cases, etc.
Round 5 - System Design
First 30 mins : I tried to generalize the problem statement and was designing the system accordingly
Next 30 mins : More of a discussion round with my vague inputs on some specific questions
Any comments on what I should expect.
Update 1:
Talked to recruiter and was informed of the interview feedback(high level) and that my packet was sent to the hiring committee for final review which was conducted today.
Heard back from the recruiter today that I have been approved for L4.
Have been asked if I would like to appeal for another system design round, so that I get another shot at L5(which won’t affect the L4 decision anyhow)

Also, I am sure that design round can definitely not be a strong hire. Rest as I could not hit bulls eye to interviewer’s specific questions, I am not very hopeful.
Round 2 - a medium and a follow up(medium)
Round 3 - medium with a lot of edge cases
