I'm currently L6 Product Manager at AWS (up for an L7 promotion this cycle). I feel like I got hosed by Amazon as my TC right now is about $280 ($160 "max" salary + $120 at the current stock price). I've done the two years at Amazon so I'm vesting 20% every 6 months. I am HC approved at Google (L6 Product Manager), and the recruiter wants to know what my desired TC is and I'm not sure where to start. I had a friend at Google (L6 manager) and he told me to come in at between $350 - $400k. Does that sound about right? Too high? To Low? #google #offer #L6
Around 400 especially if no competing offer
400-450 range. If you have competing offer from FB, could make a case for 500-550. But that’s really pushing it for L6.
Can’t pass on your own?
You’re not competent enough to just dive in and instead resort to asking for recently used questions? Man up
🤔 Fb PM L5 seems same TC as Goog L6 PM.
No lol
No lol
Curious to know this too
Are you HC approved at Google for l5 or l6
L6
L6 Amazon to L6 Google is a great jump, Congrats!! How technical was the interview?
Are you a PM, PMT, or PMT-ES? If you started two years ago, your TC should be much higher for a “T” role.
Hence my comment that I got hosed.
If you get promoted to l7 do you get salary refresher like sign on or just more stock?
Don’t blindly listen to these comments. $500k is 95th percentile and very unlikely. Ask for $450k and accept if they’re in the $400-450k range. Trust me on this. Blind is severely skewed and doesn’t reflect reality.
True
Google L6 offer should be above 500k atleast ! Your friend does not want you to make more money than him 😜
it's for PM not SWE
PM is on par with swe I believe
