Google Nest SW TPM offer
How is this offer for L4 SW TPM at Nest: Base 170k RSU 400k Signon 10k Current TC: Base 160k Unvested RSU 200k 9yoe, all as HW TPM (product level, not chips). How is Nest culture? Is it still considered second-class compared to core G?
Highest end of L4, even for SWE. Did u get down-leveled? How did u negotiate it?
I did not negotiate much yet. I was told I am placed at the top of L4 but not in L5 and that they cannot comment on the reasons. Not happy about this actually but sounds like I cannot negotiate this? No competing offers unfortunately

Yes, they are. Is that normal that one does not get a refresh in the end of the first year? I was told that. What is a typical refresh amount at L4?
Yes it is standard policy to not get refresh at end of 1st year
Anyone willing to comment on Nest culture? Good, bad?
For L4 this is a really good offer. I am assuming TPM = technical program manager

Level is determined mostly by your interview performance in the hiring committee stage. You can't change that now unfortunately. I think L4 looks low for 9 YOE but I also don't know how relevant your experience has been and not sure what your org is and how they determine levels. At this stage I think the level is non negotiable
