Google Paternal leave policy and Career impact

Jan 9, 2019 9 Comments

google recruiter contacted me for a position and I am confident I can clear it to get a offer. But We are expecting by mid year and I made plans to spend at least 3 months off from work. My current manager approved my plan. But I am not sure google paternal policy allows me to take 3 months off and how does it impact my career considering this might be right after 4 months I join. Any suggestions?

Expect no problem and no negative impact. But I would tell them upfront.

If you start interviews today.. Google will most likely take at least 4 months to release offer. Get the offer.. and then decide. I had similar situation, told them to delay joining by 6 months after offer was released due to child birth.
