Hey Blind Fam,
I'm a SDE1 at Amazon with 1.7 yrs of experience. Last week I got interviewed at Google for L3, used to do competitive programing during college days, hence was able to grind 500 LC within one month for prep(100 easy , 340 medium ,60hard), was able to solve most of G premiums without help.
Went through 4(1 phone + 3 onsite)interviews, they went above my expectations, still got rejected. Recruiter told me that I got 2 stong hires , and 1 strong no hire, hence he can't move forward. The round for which I got no hire, was a LC hard level problem where the answer was O(N^2) , but I was able to reach only till O(N^2LogN). But after seeing such rejection, I'm feeling salty now, cause I though I did really well.
I read other google experiences and they were far easy than what I experienced my self.
My question:
I'll be promoted to Sde2 at Amazon in next quarter. Planning to prepare for L4 at google. But with all the LOWBALLING hapoening right now at google, I think I'll be again offered L3. So what do you guys suggest? Should I prepare again for Google to apply in 1 year for L4 or it will be just waste of effort? Otherwise I'm planning to target UBER. I interviewed for Microsoft for L61, but they lowballed me to L60 due to my experience, as the recruiter said. My interviews went awesome at Microsoft as well.
So should I prepare again for Google or just leave my though and start preparing for UBER/MICROSOFT L61/FACEBOOK/NETFLIX? Cause now I know, it's not impossible, it's just matter of luck, preparation is not the major factor. I was able to solve hard questions within 30 minutes.
EDIT: I feel I'm getting misunderstood, I'm not asking for now. Due to Cool off , I'll be able reapply only after 12 months from now. I'll have 3 years of exp by then , and will be a SDE2 at amazon. If then I get Google L3, isn't that a Lowball?
If yes, what should be my strategy now?

i wouldnt delay on it, usually if u have <3 yoe ull get a junior level no matter the company. might as well jump now, cause youll get a much better offer without higher expectations. then u can always apply for google
I got L4 with 3YOE last year. I had offers from FB and MS so maybe that helped? Did pretty good in all the rounds and time to spare at the end of each rounds.
