Going through the Interview for Project Manager at Google. I brought up compensation with the recruiter but the base offer is really low vs expected and I think there’s room but not sure how far I can stretch. I didn’t mention a number but said it’s lower than what I’m looking for. I was reached out for the role vs applying. Does anyone have any target comp to share as data points? Base Offer: Base: 125k Sign on: none Equity: 100k/4 Annual Bonus: 15% Location: SF YoE: 8 Level: ? Fyi I’m looking for more like 150k base, 15% bonus, 200k equity, 25k sign on but not sure where that falls in the range.
Are u a project manager now? Hope u fully understand what the role of project management at google does.
You can ask for more equity to compensate for the low base. Your negotiating power is not accept such low offers.
How far do you think I can stretch equity? Do you think there’s room to stretch base too? Doesn’t seem competitive for SF especially from Google. I know the recruiter said there’s room and they’d try to match what I’m looking for but what to give something that they can stomach even if it’s a reach. Sorry I don’t know what levels this role is, the recruiter never mentioned it
