Hi All, Google recruiter email - after 8 days of onsite - stating " Hope you are well. I have the feedback from your interviews and would love to share it with you. Let me know when will be the best time to connect or as last time you can go into my calendar to book a suitable time slot - my calendar. Thanks!" After that, on my asking I would be keen to know the interviewers' review, positive/negative, or accept/reject, before I speak to the recruiter on call, their email in return was "Thanks for booking a slot and lets discuss the matter over the phone on Monday. Thanks" Please interpret and share your experiences and outcomes for similar generic responses post onsite! This is for india location, and recruitment team for the india roles based in Singapore google office. Thanks a lot! #google #googleindia #recruiter #googlerecruiter #offer #onsite Also, This response came post Thursday midnight, with no options for Friday discussion... Straight slot available for Monday mid day only! I’d really hope they would not wait jump a weekend, make me book a slot, all for a simple "rejection". Would have been happier if it would have been an email. Waiting 3 days with this generic email response, for the call is not ideal, to hear "we will not select you" one liner message!
Lol you can't interpret anything from that, they don't tell you anything over email. I wouldn't take it as a good sign... Or a bad sign.
^ This. They had called me directly to convey rejection. No time slot booking no email. But do not interpret anything. Just wait till Monday and it could be a good news.
@amazon and @cognizant, thank you for that honest and transperant interpretation! Yes, I’ve realised better to stay neutral, attend the call and be it good or bad, take it in stride. Will definitely update the thread with the result conveyed, so atleast everyone who has been so helpful would know and so would others looking for info!! :)
It totally depends on the recruiter behavior. Some recruiters wants to break the good or bad news in a proper way/process, some just call as soon as they have good news and wait to share the Bad news so it doesn’t spoil your day without any warning about a call. So its really hard to interpret what it will be. Its natural to think a lot about this and try to interpret what it could be. Try not to think about this till the call happens. Best wishes for you
Thank you so much, for that positive message and information!!! Will just attend the call with a neutral mindset, see what they have to say, and definitely update the post here! :)
You’re getting rejected. They are being nice for the post process satisfaction poll.
Thank you for the comment, will certainly keep neutral outlook when I take their call!
Could be anything but why would they 'love' to share rejection with you. It would have been good on their part to be out with it if it's positive instead of making you wait so much. I was in same situation as you. Indian role, Singapore based recruiter who was nice enough to share the result with me as soon as HC had decided. He even emailed me a day before saying your HC is scheduled for tommorow so we will have the result by eod tomorrow.
Thanks a lot for sharing!!! Yes, I guess recruiter as a person and their preferences matters so much!!! I will keep a neutral outlook and will definitely update here on the post, to let you guys know and thank you all for helping so much! :)
All the best :)
Lol not this post again. I think we've established that Google recruiters call for both accepts and rejects.
Hello Everyone, to post the update as promised, I have had the scheduled call with the recruiter finally, and its a "positive" - moving to HC! So the recruiter said, its 2 positives, 2 borderline positives and the HC will meet next week, where he will be putting out the packet, so the HC decision will be informed next week. I kind of feel he precisely quoted what I felt post the interviews, can identify who the interviewers would be who posted fully positive and who posted borderline positive as well! He said the level would be decided later, once HC decision is made.... and for TPMs, L3 is 5 to 8 years, L6 is 20 years+!! And they are looking to hire between L3 and L5, still they can discuss level only after HC decision, also meanwhile there'll be a call with hiring manager before HC meets and sees my package! I want to say a BIG THANK YOU, a GENUINE HEARTFELT THANK YOU, to everyone for the overwhelming support on my post, all the brilliant insights, so many experiences shared and so much of positivity from everyone...... you are are all super, it is sooo heartening that as professionals as fellows, we are all genuinely helping each other no trling no pulling other down, such a good feeling! It is good to have such professional workforce out there, makes me feel soooo thankful and GLAD to be a part of it!! Thank youuuu :)
What’s the point in guessing based on the email? Just pick up the phone and find out you clown.
Probably there will be an offer. Research the market rate and definitely negotiate. Good luck.
Thank you so much, will keep the thread updated and post here if that happens since everyone has been tremendously helpful! :)
It might be many more weeks until I actually get final answer or decision... recruiter has informed things are too slow just now....
Good luck. Looks like a positive sign! Any tips for the phone/onsites? I have mine in a couple of weeks and still not very comfortable with DP.
Mostly everyone has told me this is a negative sign! Will keep you posted, if I get through, then most certainly will guide you on the process and rounds I did! If I do get rejected, you’d be better of consulting someone who did a better job... I’d be happy to help nevertheless :)
🤞 This is a standard email template before rejection. The call is for your feedback on the employees who interviewed you. Furthermore they will discuss about the future timelines for interviews, which is 9 to 10 months from now.
