My recruiter went dark for 3 weeks after my onsite interviews and today I was told she needs to meet with interviewers for "detailed feedback" before she can provide any update. Does anybody know what this means? Should I give up my hope landing a job at Google? Any good chance this could turn into a positive result? Current TC: 160k YOE: 8 years
With google when youāre done there are no more meetings and no explanations.
Could it be possible to require meetings because interviewers' feedback is mixed in between hire and no hire?
Don't try to read too much into it. Meeting with interviewers means that they still need to deliberate your interview performance. Is Google the only place you interviewed? Prepare for and try other companies.
Yeah. Google is the only company with a similar job posting as I am currently in at the country my wife resides in. We got her visa all cleared to move to states, but I would like to spend some years there with her before we move back to states. Google seems like a perfect company for international transfers like this.
You need to apply to other jobs if you want to negotiate with competing offers.
Some interviewer were on vacation possibly so feedbacks were late
How can someone remember person x they interviewed a month ago? Do they just submit their notes? Especially given if you are interviewing one you probably are interviewing many others as well. Uber the debrief is always the next day.
that is exactly what I questioned as well. For that reason, I sorta gave up thinking no positive thing could come out after one month.
Google did the same thing to me after a video interview. The recruiter messaged me after like three weeks and me following up multiple times saying āstill waiting on feedback from the interviewerā. A joke, really. So now next time Iām looking I will just skip the soap opera that is the google interview process. Especially given that it looks like they are low balling everyone recently based on blind.
Don't read into it much. I think this might be a positive sign. Interviewers at Google submit draft feedback and detailed feedback. Detailed feedback takes time to collect and is required before the recruiter can move you to the HC. The fact that she has decided to wait for detailed feedback might mean that the draft feedback is good enough for her to wait for detailed feedback. Good luck with the rest of the process.
Thank you!! keeping my fingers crossed. It seems like I still have many more roadblocks to overcome until the offer.
Main roadblock is usually HC but my main roadblock was team matching due to headcount. Hoping you have better luck finding a team.
Keep us posted please OP! I am in the same situation
How did it go? did you get an offer?
He didnāt get it.

If recruiter responded after 3 weeks, you still have a chance. May be a pending decision about level but I will consider this positive. All the best.
Thank you!!! The recruiter said she was out sick and was also OOO.
I have found that most recruiters say after onsite that they are going to be OOO next week.
