I interviewed for Customer Engineering - GCP on Sep 2020. My interview feedback was Strong hire, Hire, Hire across RRK, GCA and googley. had Hiring manager as my GCA interviewer and he showed strong interest. Shocking that Hiring committee rejected my citing 2017 interview feedbacks (No hire across all three). The reason was - i already accepted an offer while interviewing and i didnt give even 20% of effort i put in this year and there was a skill gap. How long are the feedbacks stay in system? How to proceed further?
Umm, are u sure? As far as i know no one shares feedback
100%. Had great rapport with recruiter. They told me they dont generally share feedbacks. i was also in touch with my interviewers post interviews.
Wow thats scary, but with this logic none of second timers would get offer ! Right?
This is crazy from GCP . I see lot of ppl getting offer with second attempt
Then why did they interview you if no interest to hire?
The recruiter says - its not right to look at feedback that is 3years old but sometimes thats how HC behaves. In this process, Google looses some good candidates but thats the policy. Recruiter cannot overrule or challenge HC.
May be for count of the candidates they interviewed? Your interviewer is brutally honest which is very rare
May be. But my recruiter was honest. I frst gave RRK for APp MOd. I didnt fit in. The App Mod interviewer suggested me to INfra Mod team. Then i had Infra Mod Interview which i did exceptionally well. So if they had to reject me, they could have done it during my 1st RRK. Recruiter told my 1st RRK doesnt count since it was not an appropriate fit.
Does the recruiter share the interview feedback in those categories?
First time hearing this
Kttb70 what questions were asked in infra mod rrk interview. Any pointers please

How they know u accepted an offer while still interviewing?
I told that reason to the recruiter after hearing my reason for rejection. Google didn't know that before. They would have been thinking how the change was drastic. I have know clue what went behind scene. Recruiter told there was no reason to have another interview as feedbacks were clear and strong across all three interviews.
