Google SRE SWE vs SWE
A recruiter approached me even though I did not much experience in SRE. Curious if one can move from SRE SWE to SWE after joining? Also, mostly I worked on service and app development, so does it worth trying in sre swe track? Or shall I keep in waiting until roles are open for SWE? Interview wise what are the differences between sre swe and swe? Kindly let me know in case you aleady had interviwed. YoE : 8

There is not really any difference between SRE-SWE vs SE roles. But there is a difference of 1 coding interview I believe.
There is no difference between SRE SWE and SWE. There is no transfer required. Interview is the same as SWE no difference.
Are you sure? If there is no difference, why two tracks in SRE? Or you said mainly no difference in roles?
There is some difference in role but no transfer required. Same coding interviews
