Google sucks at hiring for sales, so if you’re good you should be fine. Just remember that our super duper anti-bias system means that the things that matter in sales, like charisma and the ability to talk to humans, are barely taken into account by the hiring committee.
It’s for sales engineering. Not purely sales
Sales engineering is still part of sales. Good sales engineers know that.
Know cloud Infrastructure and system design
This is definitely the most important technical factor. Review the GCP platform. Read the product overview and concepts sections for each key product. Understand how to construct a system from those cloud legos.
What’s a good way to get into presales cloud?
Thanks!! Will look at those !
They asked me the difference between IaaS and PaaS, and I pretty much dialed out. 10 years of sales engineering exp, deep in k8s and container platforms.... google doesn't know shit about sales.
Ha. Why didn’t you go forwards with it? Lol. Those are just surface level questions
Likely similar to swe interview but with lower hiring bar
