How is Google@Seattle in terms of teams / interesting projects. Any general sentiments welcome.
Yes
Nice
Better than amazon
This is according to friends who have bounced around various google offices (MV, NYC, & SEA). Seattle has been getting kind of screwed over on the project front, there's not a lot of interesting work being done. I've heard that's starting to change with the second campus, but in general it's lagging the other locations. On the upside the team culture is significantly better. Fewer politics*, teams & individuals are more helpful; there's in general less of the extreme tech nerd & "brogrammer" cultures. *Downside to this it can be harder to get promoted as you're not seen as being in the middle of the action.
Plenty of interesting cloud stuff in Seattle
It’s great, but expect to fly a bunch. So much better than amazon it’s not funny. Lots of Cloud stuff with the cream off the top from former AWS and Azure. Will be huge in 2019 when SLU campus opens.
