I live in Google ecosystem for good or bad and lately all their services from YouTube/Music to Google search are filled with bugs and weird features. Just venting out frustration. #google
You can always apply next year
Nobody ain't getting promoted for fixing bugs, they get promoted for launching new chat applications. Unlike Amazon, Google isn't customer obsessed, so you get the usual janky Google crap.
Even gdrive sucks.
We know the interview process takes time and energy and I sincerely appreciate the effort you put in. Our interview process is difficult, and a lot of candidates who ultimately end up receiving an offer at Google are candidates that have previously interviewed so please don't get too discouraged! A member of our recruiting team may reach out to you in the near future if we come across another opening that we think may interest you and could be a match for your skills and experience.
As a G employee myself (so no one can complain about my saltiness) I really hate some G products. And I really hated the forced migration from Music to YouTube. Podcasts also migrated to YouTube. It’s so unnecessary.
Much agreed. I miss Google Play Music so much. It's a bit sucky to have the music that I paid money for in GPM now play through YouTube Music with occasional ads. I'm glad that I downloaded them all via Google Takeout prior to the shutdown so I could play them in a different music app. It wasn't all smooth sailing, though: I received a ZIP file with a flat list of MP3s all mixed together, so I had to organize them into artist/album folders by hand. To add insult to injury, the ID3 album art and tag metadata were also missing from the salvaged MP3s, so I also had to look up and enter all that data myself in a tag editor, file by file. I'm sure you can tell from my writing that I was quite thrilled by this.
Agreed I used to have my own personal library of curated (torrented) songs in Google music, was too lazy to download the library though
I believe that WFH is beginning to backfire.

Sorry you failed the interviews
I failed an interview in 2019. My frustration came out of disappointment rather than anything else. I use Pixel phone, Nest ecosystem, Youtube premium, Google Home, and many other google products.
Found the guy who’s personality trait is that he passed the google interview.
