Hey All
Hope you are doing well. I was fortunate to clear the HC for SWE L4 role at Google and have moved to team matching phase. Any pointers on how should I go about the team matching in Seattle area? Any recommended teams or orgs? Any input would help a lot.
Thanks.

There’s threads on what questions to ask hiring managers here, but talk about team roadmap, biggest technical problems, how the team fits into the overall company, how long the manager has been on that team and Google, what the breakdown of the team is and tenure (how many seniors etc), oncall, that sort of thing. Don’t stress, there’s no interview here really it’s just a speed dating match making process. Super cool to talk to many different teams and managers and see what’s out there. Everyone I talked to was pretty cool (except a few… you can check out managers on LinkedIn, I avoided all managers with low tenure, and from OCI/AWS specifically because I know many managers there and I know it’s not true necessarily, but I’m not risking walking into a shitty situation. Unless they have a longer tenure at Google. I spoke with one guy who was literally hiring his old team from OCI and he was a huge dick lol)
How was your overall interview?
The interview experience was very similar to other blind posts.
