Has anyone personally interviewed or knows about the interview process for Google's Technical Solutions Engineer (on-site) and could possibly share any more information about it (like what to prepare, etc)? Based off description it seems like a cloud customer facing role. I was just wondering what they usually ask at these interviews. I've seen a broad range of things mentioned (troubleshooting, linux/unix, web technologies, programming), so I was just trying to figure out what was most emphasized.
I have done the on-site via hangout. It s going to be some behavioral and hypothetical questions. One simple question could be what you would do if customers ask if we can build a rocket going to Mars. Going through the interviews experiences on Glassdoor helps. Some general questions are debugging network issues in both client and server sides and writing SQL queries. You might be asked to writr some Unix commands for some file parsing.
Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it! Was there any coding involved in the interviews? Like testing of data structures or OOP or anything like that?
Yes, coding of course in two of them at least.
