I'm in various stages with the listed companies, and am trying to decide which one would be best. I feel like Google is by far the most impressive on my resume, but I am the most concerned about the culture there. I've heard that if you get a bad manager, you are just screwed because your transfer packet contains your manager's feedback. I've had experience only at startups before, and any time I get near a corporation, I hate the politics and bureaucracy. What is it actually like working at Google? Do you end up spending most of your time dealing with politics and sitting in meetings, or do you actually get to crank code? Between Uber/Twitter I get the impression my day-to-day would be similar. Any tips on choosing one over the other? Thanks!
Google!
Worked at one, interviewed with the others. Process/politics/“structure” come with size. I suspect that Google is now the most bureaucratic one among the three. Twitter is much smaller and personable, but overall feels somewhat stagnated. Uber is somewhere in between but there’s the question mark over the business model and it affects the company’s morale.

Choose Uber or Google, rather than twitter. Uber’s share price is really low, good time to get in. Uber provides more opportunity for impact than Google, but Google’s name on your resume will be a bit better than Uber’s.
why not twitter?
