Can't reveal lot of details on Waymo since that is confidential and would request fellow Googlers to do the same.

Valuation of Waymo is not much currently baken into Alphabet stock, but it is in the price target. Read report from Morgan Stanley and others setting a price of $1550 for Alphabet stock. It is not an independent entity. It's owned 100% by Alphabet.

Based on research by agencies, varies from $120B-$175B.

@brWn75: My second paragraph doesn't contradict the first. I have only quoted from public sources. Search it on web.

Waymo is currently a 100% subsidiary of Alphabet, but that doesn't mean it can't have it's own shareholders in the future.

    • I think Waymo’s more than 100 billion valuation is very lofty. Unless everything went really well for the next 5 to 10 years. Lidar costs, harsh weather conditions are all yet to solve and there are uncertainties with regulation, which I believe is fine gradually.

After recent leaks of waymo’s trouble, people should realize autonomous driving is a long shot, even for waymo.

When SpaceX's rocket failed, Tesla stock dropped. Stock prices are determined by whatever the market decides.
