How is it different from SE or SETI? Any ideas? I’m a Software engineer at Microsoft with 3 yoe.
Hmm 🤔 I wonder why. Do they downgrade you if you didn’t pass SWE interview? I would say don’t settle for this role!!
Yeah
Your job position matters a lot more than the company. Google isn’t everything.
Is TC similar to SWE? Likely a different track like solutions architect
How did u prepare for the interview?

I think it's like a glorified web developer. if you're currently a swe at MS, don't do that change unless you *really* want to leave MS.
Something similar happened to me, I have a call tomorrow with a wse recruiter and I’m wondering if they’ll have me reinterview or just give me the job lol
Internal or partner facing automation. Depending on the team you might be working on anything from fairly complex systems to simple 10-user frontends. Comp used to be -1 level with swe. Starting 2020 it is on par/almost on par. The hiring bar is a bit lower than for swe that's why swe near-hire rejects are often join as wses. Conversion from wse to swe is either with 2 interviews or based on the artifacts - code, design docs etc - depending on the process swe hiring manager wants to go with
No one?
