I'm a sales manager at a #google #cloud partner. Hit quota this year. 4 years sales experience. One year cloud sales experience. What're the chances I can get a sales role at #AWS, #Google, #MSFT, or #Amazon? Thoughts? Recommendations?
Why leave?
More money and flexibility
Doesn't seem better in MSFT or AMZN
Google has been hiring lots of Sellers and partner folks from our partners.
That's good to hear. What would you say the experience level is there?
it's honestly all over the map. pm me if you'd like to talk in more detail. I'd be happy to help.
How about working for a different Google partner?
I'd rather work at google or one of the other big players
If you're good. Apply. I work on Gcloud. Not sure if you can PM on here but send me your email and I'll refer you.
@bachman nykidinla@gmail.com can you email me?
hey dude, the timing couldn't be better. 4 years of sales experience might be a good match for their Inside Sales teams - the job titles at Google don't usually reflect what the jobs are about too well so check out the specs on careers page. Hope you find something!
Thank you!!!
Willing to work with another partner?
Chances are high. Go for it. At Google’s careers website - search for relevant terms and setup an email alert for new positions that match that search term(works a lot like news alerts). That way anytime a position with that keyword opens up you get an email. Very helpful. Amazon has new positions opening up every day. I'd suggest update your LinkedIn profile and sign up for the job alerts. You'll get job search matches often. I hope your resume is ready.
Thank you, much appreciated. I'll definitely take a look and set up alerts. Resume is ready. Anyone know what that interview process looks like?
