I had interview with Google and there were 3 coding rounds, 1 domain interview and 1 behavioral interview. Isn't there supposed to be a system design round somewhere? Am I in L3 loop or what? Yoe 6,TC 180
No; system design rounds aren't part of the loop nowadays. But, the coding session interviewer probe for design skills.
Ah I see. Didn't know this. My recruiter said there would be design, so I prepared for it and got bamboozled
What position are you going for? In my SWE set I also didn't have any design rounds for L4, but I did have 2 for infosec.
I had SD interview in December. Manager role though.
If you're not happy about the level they offer, you can ask your recruiter to get interviewed for the next level.
It doesn't really work like that at Google.
My friend just joined Google recently at Kirkland location: 4 years of experience, was offered L3. He asked for L4, and they made three additional loops for that. He passed and joined as L4.
Did the domain round involve any coding?
What’s domain interview?
It's a deep dive into a topic of your choice. If you have a PhD or have deep experience in a niche subject like cryptography, then they give you a domain interview.
