Currently evaluating an informal offer from Google around cloud presales. They will proceed to hiring committee once I am OK. They mention a component titled Benefits, which has a $ value to it, but the recruiter unwilling to provide details around it unless a formal offer is rolled out. Anybody care to shed some light on this? Does it include usual suspects like life/medical insurance, free meals etc? Or is it something else entirely?
Yeah, standard stuff, nothing special
The details about benefits will all be included in the formal offer.
Ask for a benefits packet, I had to ask three different recruiters before getting one that was approved to be shared externally, but keep insisting that you would like to know the details. Even if they just tell you over the phone, that's better than nothing. I was extremely surprised because every other company has given me a packet without hesitation. FWIW the benefits are second to none at Google. The 401k (through vanguard) is worth accepting an offer.
Thanks
Can you provide additional details on what makes the 401k package so great?
Nothing better than msft.
I find that hard to believe as two coworkers left for Google this month alone!
Benefits wise actually msft was better, but google better 401k options
Microsoft benefits are pretty good too so I didn't see a big difference or impacted in these "benefits"
Fyi such as hsa contribution or something? Msft has many benefits
That’s so dumb. Salesforce benefits is just a public website: https://www.getsalesforcebenefits.com makes everyone’s lives easier to be transparent about this
