How does L5 compare to L4 in terms of things that interviewers look for in coding rounds? I've done about ~500 LC and been taking contests every week, floating around 1950 rating can usually finish all 4 questions. Ideally I wanna get L5, but my SD is average, so how tough is the SD round? Is it easier to get L4 through down level or just take the L4 directly? TC: 290K Bay area YOE: 7.5 #google
Why would you ever go for the downlevel lmao.
Well recruiter said compensation for my yoe could be similar for L4 and L5 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You realize it’s not just about the compensation you get right but also the growth year over year? With a higher level, you get higher raises and refreshers... don’t know why people don’t understand this
Take L5 if you don’t do that good, they will offer L4
L5. They’ll figure out the rest.
always always ALWAYS take L5
