Google or MSFT? Sales engineering/architecture
Currently working as an Infrastructure TSP at MSFT and about to transition to CSA. I’ve also been offered a Customer engineering position at Google Cloud to open a new territory. Anyone have any thoughts on which they would choose assuming salary is neutral?
As a previous Azure TSP and now at GCP - I’d look at what you would like to be doing and where you want to be in the next few years. Honestly, I got really tired of the MS sales org, focus and general culture - not company specific but just that org. I was about to transfer internally and was offered a role here at GCP. Best move I’ve ever made - focused a lot more on solving problems, coding again and less shilling products/services.
Thanks. That’s been the appeal to me of GCP so far. They seem to want you to focus on whole solutions rather than trying to jam products in.
