1. FB sea is a pretty bad office loaded with failed MS EMs and Amazombie IC causing super crazy peer pressure. WLB worst of all industry even compared with Amazon, so think about hourly pay :)
2. FB’s engineering culture is horrible (i.e. PSC culture). I literally never heard anyone appraising its codebase’s quality or colleagues’ dedication to tech.
3. Both Google SEA and FB SEA have very limited choice of teams, but tbh FB’s teams are under constant pressure of violent reorgs and your HM might be gone within a half onboarding. (My case)
4. FB suffers way worse political risk and fierce competition from TikTok and Snap.
1. Google still has better WLB, even GCP
2. Simply avoid GCP’s teams :)
Wlb is definitely better even in gcp compared to Amazon (no clue on fb) but I would still go with fb for faster growth at junior levels
Also, blind has a inherent negative bias and is more likely to attract unhappy people. Happy people usually aren’t posting their good experiences on an anonymous forum. look up the term “confirmation bias.”
if your priority is career growth / promo speed, Meta is an easy choice
otherwise for WLB / eng quality, I’d take G
