Expecting an offer from both. Pay will be comparable and will be in Seattle/Redmond. Was wondering from perks, culture, wlb what are plus and minuses
Things that I have heard:
Google: better refreshers, free food, maybe younger workforce, better commute to Seattle
Msft: good wlb, been offering good amount of pto in 2021

Googles food has been getting worse. I suspect it will not have improved after the pandemic. I like Satya over Sundar as CEO. And MSFT has much better perks around volunteer / donation matching if that’s important to you. My favorite was donating 25$ to the charity for every hour you volunteered there. I would volunteer at my local animal shelter and they’d get 200$ from MSFT for each 8 hour shift. Lastly, goog is very Mountain View centric. Better to be at the mothership for career growth.
Google _is_ harder to get into. Depends on what you want for yourself. If you know any colleagues at either company you should leverage them to find good teams / managers. That will make all of the difference.
Overall on an average Google is better place. But do consider your manager and team culture.
