Hi, I'm a new grad from the East Coast and I've gotten two offers. Which ones would you guys pick, I'm really leaning towards Google as I have refreshers from year 2. Salesforce doesn't have refreshers or has peanuts from what I've learned. With Google, I don't have to be pressured into applying for new jobs (due to tc being kept up, refreshers). And Google has a lot of things I could work on, not limited to CRM stuff. Also, I work in backend mostly, so I imagine I am flexible. Google: Sunnyvale, GCP Sal: 131k Bonus: 25k (matched Salesforce) Rsu: 100k (33,33,22,12) Yearly: 15% SalesForce: San Francisco, unknown Sal: 144k Bonus: 25k Rsu: 100k (25/yr) Yearly: 10% #salesforce #google #jobs #tech
You could go higher with bonus. When I joined L3 2 years ago, they had given me 65k (assuming by bonus you mean sign on bonus)
What was your yoe when you got that?
0. Fresh outta undergrad. I had another offer whose sign on was $50k though, so Google matched and beat that.
L2 or L3? Google offer seems very low!
This is a standard new grad L3 offer.
I love Salesforce and it is a fun company but Google brand is a completely different league.
I am voting for Google primarily because of its value on your resume; but my wife is at GCP and it really sucks :) great learning opportunities with shitty WLB and Amazon like culture; but again, for the first job after college it is the best option!
Go for google , you can move easily move when you have decent experience in your resume
Google is the way to go. Salesforce has some serious cultural problems right now and is in the middle of an identity crisis. Odds are you’d be working on very dated tech at Salesforce too.
What are the cultural problems?
Not sure about other offices, but the Bellevue office has been infiltrated by ex-MS management, polluting our culture with their political games and favoritism.
Not Salesforce
I am not aware of cultural problems at salesforce. However, if you want to grow and learn, GCP might be better.
Please choose Google
It's seems you already have the answer!
