For a senior PM position: I had my phone interview and the recruiter got back me a few days ago with a request for a second interview. The recruiter said that it’s usually when the interviewer didn’t fully assess one of the areas. Does this mean the interviewer felt not strongly for or against me? Or does it mean I’ve passed some of the areas and incomplete in others? Any thoughts/ advice would be appreciated.

Could mean that they were interviewing you for multiple skill sets. You may have met one of them but not enough to pass to the next round. Good news is that you did well enough to qualify for a second opinion. Brush up on your responses to questions and kill the next call
