Received an email from the recruiter saying that he has received the feedback from interviewers and asked me to set up a time to connect over a call. It feels like a reject. But what has been your experience? I’m so anxious right now. UPDATE: Reject :(

How long did it take the recruiter to follow up once you completed your interview?
3 days
That’s how google rejects. Always on phone
Hate to say this but my partner interviewed and that’s how they rejected her
Has anyone received positive news from an email like this from google?
Yes, I had one like that and received positive news. It may depends on the recruiter but I heard that the tone is usually neutral.
@Op relax man! I got negative the first time like this and positive the second time, literally 6 months after the first one. In my personal experience, the feedback call after your onsite is just for the recruiter to reveal to you what the feedback (which could be positive or negative) from your interview is. After which the recruiter would discuss the next steps; for example: 1) If +ve, the recruiter could advise team matching before going for HC or say you go HC, then team matching or tells you to provide some references for the package to the HC and so on 2) If -ve, he could advise more on what the team would want you to focus on more and may be suggest 6 months to retake(which was my case the first time) or whatever options you have as a result of the feedback. Believe me, I sincerely understand the frustration cause I am a living witness but the truth is there is nothing you can do but to wait for it. When is the the D-day?
Sounds like a reject; sorry OP. Update us if otherwise.
I’m assuming this is after onsites. Did your recruiter tell you that you passed the phone interview by phone?
No, that was via email.
Hard to say anything....It totally depends upon how you feel your interview went.. I have seen both sides (both are big tech companies) when recruiter setup a call to reject and other time to tell me that I did excellent and to get a feel of my expected TC to followup later with formal offer. Only you can tell how your interview went. Wish you the best
I know that they call sometimes. But it’s the cold language of the email that frustrates me.
Sounds like either a reject or a request for additional interviews. Good luck 👍
