My recruiter said in the email that hiring committee feedback was positive and wanted to talk on the phone about next steps. This is the first time I've heard of feedback being given by email

In my experience, when recruiters from google say that they have an update and would like to call you, it’s always a reject. When it’s positive outcome they tend to use superlatives like ‘great news!’
