Google recruiter said he expected feedback by end of week- should I reach out at end of the day?

^^ recruiter was on vacation during my on site, he emailed me when he got back a few days ago saying he hoped to have feedback by the end of the week. I know I should just be patient... would it be frowned upon to reach out if I haven’t heard anything by the end of the day? I imagine at this point it would just be a simple yes/no as to whether my packet goes to HC?

Doesn't matter Google process is slow you need to be patient recruiter needs to wait until interviewer enter feedback in the system

It wouldn't be frowned upon if you're polite about it. Good recruiters should proactively follow up even if there is no update.

I think it's fine to reach out but if you don't hear back from them it's probably because they haven't got full interview feedback yet.

They will take a long time to follow up but they will. I was flown out to san jose from nyc for an interview and the entire process took arohnd 5 months. Expect them to take a long tjme to reply, i wouldnt follow up yet but it wouldnt hurt

Got my follow up. Said signals from feedback so far looks positive. Waiting for 1 more feedback to arrive but we'll be moving forward to HC regardless as soon as it arrives.

I remember being in the same situation. You should just wait, but I know that can be nerve-wrecking. It’s appropriate to politely ask them for any updates. They will likely respond that they are still waiting to receive feedback, and you’ll still some have anxiety :) No news is good news.

If you really want to light a fire under the recruiter, tell them you have a pending offer

Clever Devices 72offsuit OP Jun 7, 2019

I have actually received an offer, but it’s not from a FANG and I will not be accepted it either way... any point in still mentioning it? Or are you suggesting a full on bluff?

If you reach out at EOD you won’t get a response till Monday anyway

They took forever! I only had a firm answer two months after my onsite. Whole process took 4 months!
