I applied for a job at google (YouTube) that I thought I was uncannily well matched for and received a boilerplate rejection. That was 2 months ago. The job is still open on their job board. Is it pointless to try again?
After an year you can retry.
You are accessed on whether or not you’re a fit for Google as a whole and not for a particular job. The team matching process and whatnot come after you have successfully proven you can fulfill the generic duties of your role for any team in the company. I assume there are likely caveats to this at higher level executive positions.
Because recruiters are lazy asses. Did you apply through a referral?
I did, but she works in a totally unrelated division.
If you applied through a referral someone looked at your resume either they have a candidate in the process already or you weren't a match or the req is going away
Yes
That was short and to the point. Why?
