How is google tc growth? In short I got lowballed 240 TC (T4, 2 years exp). Does google do refreshers still if the overall tc is low in the band? heard they aren’t doing refreshers lately
You're no longer guaranteed a stock grant in your first year, but it's still possible to get one if you perform well. After that you'll get a yearly stock grant based on your performance.
@potential 1st year refresh. Does this mostly come down to team or just relative to other people in your hiring class? Curious
Isn’t your initial grant for four years? Do the refreshers normally add up so that your 5th there isn’t a huge cliff and you make about the same or more than your first year? (Assuming no promotions)
Yes but for hard negotiators they may be able to get outsized (what they think normal) initial grant and their perf can’t guarantee equal refreshers.
It isn't low and you can interview and find other offers to be way less.
How did you get an L4 offer with 2 yoe? Do you have a PhD, or did you negotiate for a L4 interview loop? The reason I ask is when I interviewed with Google as a sde 2 with 2 yoe I was automatically interviewed at L3 level (no system design questions)
This is more than what I got 3 years ago. I'm making 400k now.
Are u L5 or L6 ? I heard L5 tops out at 350K.
L5 now but joined as L4.
Quit trolling seriously
Wow now 240k tc for 2 yoe is considered as lowballed?
Maybe slightly poking fun at Blind vernacular :p it is genuinely low for the t4 band though
I dont know but if you really think so, you can keep interviewing until you get much better offers
