But for One Company and Cryptocurrency - This May be GREAT News... https://www.globalcryptopress.com/2019/07/google-to-force-chrome-browser-users-to.html
Which techie uses Chrome if they worry about privacy and tracking?
I do. I went to the Google privacy portal and turned everything off so that Google doesn't store any of my data, doesn't personalize ads, doesn't store my search history, doesn't sync my data, etc. While I lose a few features it's still mostly better than using other browsers. Unlike Facebook, I trust that Google is actually respecting my wishes and not storing my data when I do this.
Ah, why do you trust one corporate entity or a set of engineers more than the other? Btw, any suggestions how I could erase my history from Amazon.com servers? It seems to track me even when I log off. So, I use a third browser for it. Ideally, we need a separate browser needed for each FAANG entity. It's probably still not good enough.
Disabling ad blockers is some bullshit, I'll agree with that. The random "this is good for a specific cryptocurrency" is spam.
Sorry bud, but it ‘Ditch chrome for what?” Is the natural first question this story presents. It gives a logical, clear explanation why A BROWSER BASED ON CHRONE without this issue, would be a choice of people leaving Chrome. Yeah dude, typical spam.
–1, Spam
It's not spam. Disabling the ad blockers is the latest evil from Google and while I probably won't use Brave it does nudge me towards looking at the alternatives.
Brave also builds your advertising profile although it is offline. And you have to opt in for it to share this info with advertisers or pay for content. However in case your client gets hacked or compromised, all your info will leak. It could be worse than what Google or FB does with your info
