Google v/s Facebook offer
I just had a Facebook on-site and the interview went amazing. I’m expecting a strong offer from Facebook. Facebook said the min time they to make an offer is one week. On the other hand, I’ve a google offer deadline of this Friday. Google Rec isn’t ready to push the deadline. Google- L3, 191K, 211K first year, Sunnyvale Facebook- New York Amazon- 170K, Seattle Cur TC- 75K 2 YOE Location is not an issue. I’m looking for a better TC and company good for overall growth in the long run. Any input would be appreciated.
You can present a deadline to fb and have them speed up the offer. But given the lack of senority it is unlikely they will rush. Still worth a try though
I talked with Rec in person after the on-site. She said one week is minimum.

The Google deadline is bs. Tell them firmly you need more time to evaluate all options. I accepted my Google offer a month after I got it. It's a recruiter tactic to limit your bargaining position.
I did try but she said there are other candidates lined up. There needs have changed ans all that B.S.

Do you know the level you're interviewing for at FB? You may get E4 offer at FB. If so, it's not the same league.
Considering rumours on Blind that Google offers are valid for one year, I call BS on the Google offer deadline.
Its valid for a year but team matching needs to happen again and that’s pretty hard
btw, what is the position you applied for? and what is your role in centurylink?
Why not on Friday tell Google that you have an offer from Amazon/FB ( if you get that verbally) and if they can improve on your current offer.
That’s the plan
