Google L4: 190 salary, 15% bonus, 430 RSU (frontloaded schedule), 50 signon Average first 2 year TC: 385ish Google is a great name but promo prospect to L5 is terrible. Also TC drops off in 2 years due to frontloading. Pinterest L4: 200 salary, no bonus target, 590 RSU over 4 years, 70 signon Average first 2 year TC: 400ish including refreshers Much better promo prospect. I think I can get L5 in 1.5 years. It seems like Pinterest comp will outpace google by a lot factoring in promo #pinterest #google
Pinterest might not exist in 2 years time once wall street realizes the lack of a growing business.
Eh it’ll exist in two years, but who knows what the stock will be. Some PE company will buy it before they let it go bankrupt just for the user data.

Why the fuck is your TC so high as an L4? That's like L5 according to levels.fyi. I need to ask for a raise.
Business critical role and multiple strong competing offers
Google (at least historically till 2020) used to raise their numbers quite a lot if a candidate could show high offers from other top techs. Not sure how much that has been true since 2021 though.
