Hi, I had a Google phone screen couple of weeks back which didn't go well. Someone from Waymo recruiting emailed me about opportunities. Not sure if both companies fall under the same cool off period. If they don't and I am able to join Waymo, is it possible to transfer from Waymo to Google? #google #waymo

Option 2 is the only one that might allow you to actually keep the equity that you’ve built up at the company and it’s insanely risky.
IPO lottery is referring to: if you happen to be at the company when it IPOs then you win. Due to this liquidation preference It is clearly unrelated to who has built enough equity at the company because the population of people with equity are roughly those who are current employees during the IPO. This is due to the addendum on departures I cited previously.
