I work at Amazon and had good experience there. Just got my RSU package and isn't as good as expected, especially if I compare with my peers that joined at the same time as me. I'm flagged as an "average" performer, so no employment concerns. I got a strong offer at Snap and the role is similar. They really need someone who has the specific experience I have. I know the manager and feel good about him. Should I go?
Yes, if they are giving you more money, then go. Also the girls in SoCal are 10000x better looking than the girls in Seattle
Take it! 👍
I say go after your next set of shared vest if it’s in the next month or so
Go for it if you’re getting more there and feel good about the role and the hiring manager.
Do a cost of living analysis on the two locations, including local taxes. A strong offer in LA may still end up being a loss.
Don’t do it. It is not worth it!
LA is one of the nicest places to live in the Western world. Seattle is miserable, all those years of grayness damage your soul. Who even cares what company, I'd prefer a fucking bank in LA where they use fax machines, over faaang in the misty darkness of the sub-arctic.
What's making you doubt? Sounds like a no brainer
