I saw some amazing L62 offers from MS and decided to interview at MS. Before that, i made sure to get a competing offer from Coinbase.
Coinbase offer: (Remote)

- Stocks: ~21L/year (annual grant)
- Perf Bonus: 2.1L
- Joining Bonus: 7L (1st year)
- WFH Allowance: 38k/month = ~4.5L
- TC: 66L + 2.1 PB + 7L J.B+ 5.5L allowance
Microsoft Azure Offer: (Bangalore)
- Base: 36L
- Stocks: 130k/4 = ~24L/year
- Bonus: 0-20% = 3.6L
- Joining Bonus: 7L + 7L
- Relocation: 1.38L
TC: 60L+ 3.6L PB(could be more) + 7L JB
Current TC: 45L + JB + esops

Coinbase has good TC, permanent WFH, faster promo but heard mixed reviews about WLB and stock is unstable. Most folks aren’t happy (on blind) working there. But Coinbase has come a long way and culture might improve over time.
MS Azure is stable, reliable stock, good pay, good work, good employee centric culture. But then Azure WLB isn’t as good as vintage MS teams.
Any suggestion?

Culture is good tho. If wlb/culture is your preference than i guess choose Azure. Since difference in tc is only of 5-6 lakhs. MS stocks would cover it very soon
There are 2 types of hikes. 1 is the merit increase that comes in every year (inflation) and that ranges from 8% to 15%.
Another is promo hike when you get promoted. Promo hike depends on where you were in the range of your current band and what's the median base of next range.
I myself have got promo hike from 5% to 20%.
So there's no generalization!
At 4 yrs you should look for thriving work not old tech stack and on call load with so called wlb.
Think about it
