Where can I find an affordable accountant to explain my 2019 tax return to me?

I had a tax accountant file my taxes last year and I ended up owing NY about 3k but it doesn't make sense because I only had one paycheck in the state before I moved to Washington. Then I saw that Microsoft withheld NYS tax in one of my paychecks. I asked my accountant at the time why I owed money to NY, I usually get money back and I paid leaps in taxes from my first paycheck but he was short with me and wouldn't explain why I owed what I did. I'm reading through my return and confused. I want to do my 2020 taxes right but i'm worried NY still considers me a resident even though I moved 2 years ago.
